I recently completed a set of wooden storage drawers for the 4runner.
After I found the plans from @theadventureindex, I decided to try my hand at woodworking. After buying some new tools (who doesn’t love the opportunity to buy new tools?!), wood, the slides and other bits and bobs I began taking measurements, checking 3 times, and making my cuts.
While I am no professional, and the drawers aren’t 100% perfect, they’re pretty close and work well. I deviated a bit from the plans and opted to just make 2 large drawers for storage.
Painted them black, and used speaker carpet on top. The rear sections that sit against the rear seats now house my 1500w inverter and Rockford Fosgate amp for the RF Punch 8” shallow sub in stock location.
So far used them on one camping trip and absolutely love them!
